Hawkwood is collaborating with an innovative Deep Tech start-up seeking to appoint their inaugural Talent Acquisition Manager.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The successful applicant will possess a robust background in the semiconductor sector or demonstrate expertise in recruiting for a variety of highly specialized technical positions, such as Machine Learning Engineers, Research Scientists, and Hardware Engineers.

About the Organization: Our client is a leader in advanced chip technology, headquartered in Oxford, with engineering facilities in Heidelberg, Germany. The company is actively expanding its international presence, including plans for operations in the U.S.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a thorough talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the company's expansion goals.
  • Oversee the complete recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews, negotiating offers, and facilitating onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to assess their staffing requirements and offer strategic insights on talent acquisition.
  • Establish and nurture a talent pipeline through creative sourcing methods, networking, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead employer branding efforts to position the organization as a premier employer within the sector.
  • Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Monitor and evaluate recruitment metrics to refine processes and enhance outcomes.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • At least 5 years of recruitment experience, ideally within the technology or startup environment.
  • Proven track record in hiring for highly technical roles (e.g., Photonics Engineers, Research Scientists, Hardware Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers).
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the recruitment lifecycle and various sourcing methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at collaborating with a diverse, global workforce.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
