About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Social Worker to join our team at Enfield Council. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Teams, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, care management, and social work services to adults with mental health issues and their carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments of need and establish eligibility for services under relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Manage, monitor, and review care plans in collaboration with service users, carers, and other agencies.
  • Act as care coordinator in line with the Care Programme Approach, adhering to financial regulations.
  • Utilize local resources, information management systems, and maintain compliance with recording policies and documentation requirements.
  • Participate in safeguarding adult enquiries and undertake necessary training, including becoming an Approved Mental Health Professional and Best Interest Assessor.
  • Liaise with internal and external professionals and organizations in the context of casework.
Requirements
  • Hold a DipSW or CQSW or equivalent qualification and be HCPC Registered.
  • Possess experience and knowledge of mental health work within the statutory framework.
  • Have experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate experience in care management.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication and engagement skills.
  • Having an AMHP qualification and a driving license is desirable.
