Assistant Financial Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team at AD Finance. As a key member of our finance department, you will provide essential support to our Lead Accountant and contribute to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain accurate cash-flow forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Ensure the balance sheet is reconciled and up-to-date, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of assets.
  • Post accruals, prepayments, and payroll journals accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
  • Process incoming cash and facilitate timely payments to suppliers.
  • Undertake other projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • AAT qualification or degree in Accounting & Finance (or related field).
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced finance department, preferably within the logistics industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A "roll your sleeves up" mentality and willingness to learn.
