About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EMEA Columnist to join our team at Reuters Breakingviews. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for researching and writing insightful and engaging views on financial markets, companies, and deals that shape the global agenda.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of financial markets, companies, and deals to provide expert analysis and commentary.
  • Research and write high-quality, engaging articles that meet the highest standards of journalism and editorial integrity.
  • Collaborate with our global team of columnists and editors to identify and explore topical ideas and themes.
  • Develop and maintain a network of high-level contacts among corporate executives, bankers, investors, and policymakers to provide unique insights and perspectives.
  • Present your views and analysis to a sophisticated financial audience through various channels, including articles, podcasts, and live events.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced journalist with a strong background in financial markets and a proven track record of producing high-quality, engaging content. You will have a deep understanding of corporate finance, financial markets, and the ability to formulate strong, well-argued opinions under tight deadlines.

You will be a talented writer and researcher with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with our global team of columnists and editors. You will also have a strong network of high-level contacts among corporate executives, bankers, investors, and policymakers.
