About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Social Worker and Consultant Social Worker to join our team in Cornwall. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in promoting a strong culture of learning and development, and ensuring that our social workers have the skills and expertise needed to deliver outstanding practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based practice across the service, ensuring that our social workers have the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality interventions.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to social workers, including coaching, mentoring, and supervision, to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our core curriculum and career and qualification pathway for social workers, ensuring that it is aligned to the Professional Capabilities Framework and the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Practice Supervisors.
  • Work closely with our Practice Educators to provide high-quality support and supervision to social workers, including regular case and reflective supervision.
  • Collaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve outcomes for children and families, and to promote a culture of excellence and innovation within the service.
