Position: Custodial Escort Officer

Contract Type: Long-Term Temporary Engagements

Compensation: £10 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay. Overtime opportunities available at enhanced rates.

Working Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

As a vital member of the security team, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the safety and security of the facility. Your duties will encompass:

  • Escorting visitors and contractors within the premises.
  • Conducting gate duties both inside and outside the facility.
  • Ensuring the safety of all individuals present, including staff and inmates.

Our facilities are recognized for their active role in serving the local courts in the region. As a Custodial Escort Officer, you will be tasked with:

  • Supervising contractors and vehicles throughout the facility.
  • Conducting thorough searches of visitors and contractors.
  • Performing contractor tool inspections.

The role demands a high level of security awareness, with the ability to identify and address potential risks effectively.

Qualifications: Successful candidates will ideally possess experience in customer service or security roles. You will be evaluated based on key competencies, including:

  • Commitment to personal and professional development.

Training: Comprehensive training will be provided by the organization, with all training hours compensated at the standard hourly rate.

Security Clearance: Candidates must undergo the HM Prison Service Security Clearance process, which may take several weeks. This includes a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. Applicants must possess a valid passport or birth certificate along with a photo driving license at their current address.
