We are excited to offer a position for a Senior Marketing Strategy Executive. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating, prioritizing, and planning marketing initiatives aimed at our established audiences across the full spectrum of our work. Collaborating with the strategic marketing planning, operations, and performance team, you will ensure that our activities are well-timed, balanced, and impactful. Additionally, you will support the evolution of innovative processes as we transition to a more audience-focused, data-informed marketing strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing Cancer Research UK's comprehensive marketing strategy, providing insights and enhancing effectiveness across various owned channels such as email, SMS, telemarketing, direct mail, and our website.
- Collaborate with the marketing planning team and partner delivery teams to manage, optimize, and enhance visibility of marketing campaigns directed at our known audiences and first-party data.
- Streamline and enhance existing processes for owned channel planning, prioritization, and campaign management.
- Mentor and support a Marketing Planning Executive in their daily responsibilities.
- Compile ongoing annual forecasts and calendars for channels to ensure planning visibility, prioritizing and optimizing strategies to align with business objectives and growth.
- Facilitate the establishment and collection of new and existing insights and performance metrics across owned channels and our current audiences.
- Analyze and assess the performance of owned channels against key performance indicators, identifying growth opportunities and making informed recommendations.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in planning and prioritizing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns, particularly with direct marketing or owned channels targeting existing audience groups.
- A foundational understanding of comprehensive marketing journeys and the roles of various channels in fully integrated campaigns.
- A data-driven approach with the ability to interpret results and identify opportunities.
- Strong project management, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relationships and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to manage personal workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
