About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Homicide Caseworker to join our team at Victim Support. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting families and individuals affected by murder and manslaughter.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and practical assistance to clients through the Criminal Justice System.
  • Work closely with Major Crime Police Units, Senior Investigators, and Family Liaison Officers to ensure seamless support.
  • Conduct needs assessments and coordinate tailored support packages with commissioned providers and stakeholders.
  • Travel across the area to meet clients in their homes or communities, requiring a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Requirements
  • Understanding of the impact of crime on victims and their families.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering services in a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting.
  • Ability to balance competing needs and priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a complex caseload.
  • A full driving license and reliable transportation.
