Junior BOM Coordinator Job Description

At Prodrive, we're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior BOM Coordinator to join our Motorsport team. As a key member of our operational Purchasing/Production teams, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of Bills of Material, inventory data, and shop order processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate inventory data for all parts, ensuring correct part creation in relation to business requirements.
  • Develop detailed Bills Of Material for projects, incorporating routing information as needed.
  • Load and maintain material requirements in line with project production demands.
  • Review Planning BOMs to ensure material is scheduled in line with build area requirements, optimizing purchasing windows and reducing costs.
  • Action engineering releases and disseminate information to relevant teams, ensuring timely completion of related actions.
  • Collaborate with management and external consultants to analyze and develop stock control systems.
  • Enhance awareness within Prodrive's engineering, purchasing, production, and operating groups of potential supply chain improvements through detailed planning.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in inventory, Bills of Materials, or planning and scheduling.
  • IT literacy, particularly with MS Excel.
  • Understanding of car component manufacturing and basic engineering processes.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
