Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Automation Specialist will play a crucial role in validating software and hardware solutions developed within the Synectics organization. This position aims to ensure that the final product aligns with both business objectives and user expectations while minimizing defects in the delivered solution. The responsibilities will encompass Automation testing of web applications and REST APIs, alongside comprehensive end-to-end business logic and functional workflows. This role demands a high level of adaptability and initiative to manage a dynamic workload while maintaining a consistent standard of quality in testing.

Responsibilities

Core Duties

Design and execute automated test cases and scripts derived from functional and technical specifications. Maintain and enhance the test automation framework, ensuring the integration of new features, as well as addressing existing functionalities and bugs. Oversee the planning, execution, scheduling, and reporting of testing activities. Develop, maintain, and expand regression test suites. Collaborate as a team member in testing, analysis, process management, and risk identification and communication. Adapt to evolving situations while adhering to best practices. Engage with stakeholders to clarify specifications, define acceptance criteria, and elaborate on edge-case requirements. Foster relationships with developers, product owners, and business users. Propose solutions to technical challenges and contribute to architectural discussions. Promote continuous improvement in test coverage and effectiveness.

Required Experience

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable expertise in the following areas:

ISEB/ISTQB certification. A minimum of three years' experience in automation testing. Proficient in automation testing tools such as Selenium (Java), Python, Postman, and TestComplete. Experience in developing and maintaining an automated testing framework, including writing test scripts and integrating automation tools into the development pipeline. Support the transition from manual to automated testing methodologies. Collaborate with the team to enhance their automation testing capabilities. Create and execute tests within Azure DevOps. Testing complex software systems. Conduct performance, stress, accessibility, and code coverage testing. Understanding of TCP/IP networks, routing, firewalls, and multicast. Familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Ability to generate clear and precise bug reports within Azure DevOps. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
