Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Plater Fabricator to join our team at BAE Systems.
About the Role:
- As a Plater Fabricator, you will be responsible for carrying out trade-specific tasks, including fabrication and structural repairs, on naval vessels.
- You will work closely with the team to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standard and within the required timeframe.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for this role, as you will be working with customers and colleagues to deliver high-quality results.
- You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
- Additionally, you will be required to attend training courses and tool box talks to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out trade-specific tasks, including fabrication and structural repairs, on naval vessels.
- Work closely with the team to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standard and within the required timeframe.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols.
- Attend training courses and tool box talks to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Have completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in fabrication and structural repair.
- Be competent in using a wide range of hand tools and equipment.
- Relevant industry experience in marine, oil and gas, heavy construction, or rolling stock.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
