Job Title: Patient Safety Liaison Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Safety Liaison Assistant to join our team at EMED Group.

About the Role:
  • Provide on-hand support for patients waiting for transport, ensuring their safety and needs are met.
  • Act as a point of contact for crews and hospital staff, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work closely with the Hospital Ambulance Liaison Officer (HALO) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and complete Patient Hospital Support Assessment & Care Records.
  • Provide nutrition and support to patients as needed, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Facilitate collection of patients from wards to meet ambulances, ensuring efficient transportation.
  • Enforce eligibility of patients for transport, reducing unnecessary bookings and costs.
  • Check mobility categories and pre-assess patients prior to discharge, reducing delays and costs.
  • Inform and educate hospital staff about NEPTS, eligibility, and KPIs.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Customer service focus and ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic, with a "can do and will do" attitude.
  • Logical, concise, and innovative thinker, with confidence using a computer and Microsoft Office.
