Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Tradewind Recruitment. As a specialist in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to a child in KS2 with ADHD and Autism, ensuring they meet their learning and development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a child with ADHD and Autism, following their EHCP to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the child.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive classroom culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly ADHD and Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Right to work in the UK.
