The Bioresources sector is an integral part of our comprehensive Water Recycling operations, focusing on the treatment of wastewater across multiple Sludge Treatment Facilities. Through innovative anaerobic digestion techniques, we produce valuable outputs, including renewable energy in the form of Biogas, which can be transformed into electricity, and a premium biosolids cake utilized in agriculture as a soil enhancer. With anticipated growth in sludge generation driven by population increases and stricter environmental regulations, our Bioresources team is dedicated to the safe and sustainable management of sewage sludge.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Bioresources Operations Specialist reports directly to the Bioresources Treatment Manager and is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of water recycling and bioresource operations. This role encompasses identifying and executing enhancements while assisting the manager with daily site management. Responsibilities include resource allocation, contractor communication, adherence to health and safety regulations, and supporting the Bioresources Technician team.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proven experience in a dynamic operational setting, particularly in mechanical, electrical, or process optimization roles.
- Strong resilience to site demands and the ability to prioritize conflicting tasks while considering health & safety and broader business implications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to cooperative efforts.
- Adaptability to varied work conditions, including management standby duties.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Valid UK driving license.
