As a Bank Early Years Practitioner, you will have the flexibility to work on a part-time basis, blending the convenience of Bank / Locum / Agency work with the security and benefits of being an employee.

About the Role

As a Bank Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting our nursery team in delivering high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, and encouraging their development towards key milestones.
  • Working as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands, including hygiene standards and room preparation.
  • Promoting and ensuring child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding.
  • Working with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy, and safe environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
  • A passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • The ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
  • A sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable.
