Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity professional to join our team at BACB plc as a Cyber Security Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining and implementing our Cybersecurity Policies, Standards & Frameworks to meet our Cybersecurity Maturity model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policies, Procedures & Standards: Develop a comprehensive framework of policies, procedures, and standards to support our Cyber Security Design.

Lines of Defence, Operating Model and Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define and Embed First and Second Lines of Defence: Develop and implement a robust first and second line of defence, including supporting job descriptions.
  • Establish Clear Reporting Lines and Cyber Roles and Responsibilities: Define clear reporting lines and embed cyber roles and responsibilities within our organisation.
  • Define a Formalised Threat Intelligence Framework: Develop a formalised threat intelligence framework to enhance our cybersecurity posture.

Business Estate, Asset, Configuration & Vulnerability Management:

  • Update and Populate CMDB: Update and fully populate our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for all assets and components.
  • Identify, Prioritise and Risk Assess Business Critical Assets: Identify, prioritise, and risk assess our business critical assets and undertake supplier assurance.
  • Establish a Vulnerability Management Programme: Develop a vulnerability management programme to identify and remediate critical vulnerabilities within our environment.

Bolster Security Resilience, Identity & Access Management:

  • Leverage Microsoft E5 License Capability: Leverage our Microsoft E5 license capability to secure access to our applications and services.
  • Review and Remediate Security Tooling: Review our current security tooling and develop a remediation plan to ensure optimisation.

Monitoring, Detect & Response Solutions:

  • Evaluate Managed Detect & Respond Service: Evaluate options to provide a full end-to-end managed Detect & Respond (MDR) service.
  • Onboard and Embed MDR Service: Onboard and embed an enhanced end-to-end managed MDR service.
  • Document and Deliver Response Process: Ensure our full response process is documented and delivered.

Training & Awareness:

  • Define and Cascade Training Plan: Develop and cascade a training plan to ensure our staff receive tailored cyber training.
  • Define and Roll Out Cyber Awareness Training: Develop and roll out a cyber awareness training programme periodically.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Project Oriented Delivery Cybersecurity Professional: We require a project-oriented delivery cybersecurity professional with banking/financial institution experience.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.
