About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at Artis Recruitment. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our clients' digital assets and ensuring the security of their systems and data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain a Security Roadmap: Create and implement a comprehensive security strategy to identify and mitigate potential threats to our clients' systems and data.
  • Implement and Manage Security Applications: Oversee the implementation, management, and tuning of security applications and tools to ensure they are effective in protecting our clients' systems and data.
  • Ensure Effective Integration of Security Applications: Ensure that security applications are properly integrated with our clients' IT infrastructure to prevent security breaches.
  • Provide Technical Expertise and Support: Provide technical expertise and support to our clients' teams to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to use security applications effectively.
  • Develop and Maintain a Comprehensive Cybersecurity Architecture: Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture aligned with our clients' business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments and Identify Security Gaps: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security gaps and propose mitigation strategies to prevent security breaches.
  • Ensure Integration of Security Controls: Ensure that security controls are properly integrated into system and application designs to prevent security breaches.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security risks and ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of our clients' business.
  • Communicate Complex Security Concepts: Communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that everyone understands the importance of security.
  • Support Development of Security Awareness Training: Support the development of security awareness training and guidance to ensure that our clients' employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to use security applications effectively.
  • Apply Project Management Principles: Apply project management principles and best practices to plan, execute, and monitor security projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
Required Background
  • Advanced Understanding of Encryption Algorithms: Have an advanced understanding of encryption algorithms, key management, and PKI to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
  • Expert Knowledge of Network Protocols: Have expert knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network segmentation to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
  • In-Depth Understanding of Operating Systems: Have an in-depth understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux), system hardening, vulnerability assessment, and secure coding practices to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
  • Expertise in Application Security Principles: Have expertise in application security principles, threat modelling, secure coding, and web application firewalls (WAFs) to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Authentication: Have comprehensive knowledge of authentication, authorization, single sign-on (SSO), and identity federation to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
  • Ability to Design Secure Architectures: Have the ability to design and implement secure architectures for various systems and applications to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
  • Knowledge of Programming and Scripting Languages: Have knowledge of programming and scripting languages to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Relevant Industry Certifications: Have relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, TOGAF, CCSP) to demonstrate expertise in cybersecurity.
  • Experience in Cloud Security and Security Automation: Have experience in cloud security and security automation to ensure that our clients' systems and data are properly secured.
About the Benefits

This role comes with a very competitive annual salary, which includes an annual review. On top of the bespoke training package, you will also receive a 10% annual bonus, remote working, annual salary review, 25 days holiday (which will increase to 30 days based upon length of service), private medical insurance, pension, and many more.
