Job Title: Production Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Specialist to join our team at Premier Engineering. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review engineering aspects of customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and maintain accurate BOM and work order data to support production planning.
  • Address and support drawing issues/changes with production to minimize delays and errors.
  • Administer controlled builds and ensure accurate manufacturing BOMs to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with production to enhance engineering specifications and optimize operations.
  • Conduct hands-on analysis, problem-solving, and process development to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Optimize operations and engineering specifications to meet customer needs and company goals.
  • Develop and implement cellular manufacturing principles to improve productivity and quality.
  • Achieve high standards through 5S and Visual Factory techniques to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Automation Specialist Tasks:
  • Specify, set up, and commission new robotic equipment to support automation initiatives.
  • Generate and adjust programs for existing products to ensure optimal performance.
  • Design, plan, and implement automation solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Monitor automated weld integrity to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee control and procedures for MIG, MAG, GMAW, and TIG welding to meet customer requirements.
  • Integrate new processes and improve existing ones to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Manage documentation and performance reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Train others in automated/robotic welding processes to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Ensure compliance with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Robotics/Engineering or 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in automation software and equipment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
