We are in search of a seasoned and driven Finance Manager who possesses outstanding organizational and analytical capabilities. This role is crucial for overseeing the administrative, financial, and risk management aspects of our operations.

As a Finance Manager, your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Managing comprehensive finance operations
  • Ensuring optimal cash flow
  • Guaranteeing the smooth functioning of company finances
  • Conducting financial planning and analysis
  • Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Enhancing existing financial procedures

You will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager in each country of operation, under the guidance of Financial Controllers based in key locations.

Additionally, you will lead and mentor a dedicated team of accountants and controllers in our African operations.

Your role will also involve:

  • Supervising the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Managing accounting, legal, tax, and treasury functions as necessary
  • Participating in strategic decisions alongside the CEO and senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations
  • Coordinating with controllers to establish a robust risk management approach
  • Implementing financial management processes and month-end closing activities

Moreover, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and reconciling daily cash transfers and financial reports
  • Maintaining banking relationships
  • Conducting field visits to verify investment utilization
  • Preparing year-end accounts and managing the annual audit process

To qualify for this position, you should possess:

  • An internationally recognized qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
  • At least 3 years of experience leading a finance team in a dynamic environment
  • Qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent) are advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software like Tally or Sage
  • Expertise in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP, formulas, and pivot tables
  • Knowledge of the retail, online, or gaming sectors
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and IFRS standards
  • Proficiency in English and French

Please note that training and the role will be based in one of our African operations.
