About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our bank team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a bank RMN, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments across the trust, providing high-quality care to patients with complex and enduring mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective care to patients with mental health needs, working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, using evidence-based practice and best available research.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and relatives, ensuring that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including medication management, therapy, and support.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that they are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring that patient information is secure and confidential.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive seamless care, both within and outside the trust.
Requirements
  • NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, using evidence-based practice and best available research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Flexibility to work in various departments and locations, as required.
