Job Title: Deputy Project Manager

About the Role

As a Deputy Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of direct reports and the project activities of an indirect workforce of up to 200 people. You will support the VIC EDWP Project Manager in the day-to-day management of project performance, leading the planning, execution, and close-out of all project activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project scope, deliverables, and change for assigned activities
  • Develop and lead the implementation of full-scale project management plans
  • Manage assigned operational teams and deconflict project activities within the project management team
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including the definition and achievement of key events and cardinal dates
  • Ensure the project follows required quality assurance commitments
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to appropriate stakeholders through the development of effective performance management tools
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a post-secondary education in an Engineering or Project Management discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. You will also have a minimum of 8 years' experience supporting the delivery of major projects or operations, with a proven track record of effective leadership in a diverse and complex stakeholder environment.
