We are pleased to announce an opportunity to become part of our dedicated team as an Endoscopy Services Coordinator within the Endoscopy Booking Unit.
Role Overview: This position plays a crucial role in facilitating the efficient operation of a high-demand department with numerous daily tasks.
The department functions across multiple locations, and your responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of duties related to a patient's experience within the endoscopy units. This includes:
- Managing the receipt of referrals
- Coordinating waiting lists
- Scheduling appointments
- Reception duties
- Post-procedure administrative tasks
You will be an integral part of a collaborative team responsible for patient scheduling, including Bowel Screening, Suspect Cancer referrals, and managing a Surveillance recall waiting list for the local population. Additionally, the role involves administrative and reception support for various surgical units.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess a minimum of Standard Grade education (or equivalent). Experience in Health Records, clerical work, or administrative roles within a busy office setting is essential. Familiarity with NHS appointment booking processes is advantageous.
Applicants should demonstrate a solid understanding of NHS Outpatient waiting times and patient pathways, along with knowledge of the patient access policy relevant to the organization.
Skills Required: You must exhibit strong organizational, listening, and problem-solving abilities. A flexible approach to work is necessary, with the capability to adapt to various sections as needed. Prioritization and effective management of daily workloads in a bustling environment are key.
Additional Information: Please note that the pay band for this position is currently under review. NHS Scotland is committed to reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours, effective from a specified date, without any change in pay. This adjustment will also apply on a pro-rata basis for part-time staff.
