Role Overview:

As the Senior Commercial Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and steering the Commercial Management of Change process. Collaborating closely with our Technical and Construction Delivery teams, you will ensure the commercial and financial success of projects. This position is vital for maximizing value engineering, exploring options, and implementing mitigation strategies to align with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Oversight: Manage NEC3 Option C Contract administration and reporting, with a strong emphasis on change management.
  • Value Engineering Leadership: Spearhead value engineering initiatives, from the development of Compensation Event Quotations to formal submissions and negotiations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with both internal teams and external client stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Facilitate Change Management and Risk Reduction meetings, offering commercial risk insights to the broader project team.
  • Commercial Compliance: Ensure adherence to commercial governance and maintain precise commercial records.

What We Seek:

  • Experience & Knowledge: A degree in construction commercial management with a background in major building and MEP projects. Proficiency in NEC3 contracts and a solid understanding of UK law are essential.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, with exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Analytical Thinker: A detail-oriented problem-solver, adept at identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
