Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations within educational facilities.

Work Schedule: This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts from 8 AM to 4 PM or 7 AM to 3 PM.

Compensation: The annualized pay rate is set at £14.00 per hour.

Immediate Start: The successful candidate will begin immediately, pending the completion of a clean enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by the company following a successful interview.

Work Environment: This position involves term-time working hours, with mandatory school holiday shutdowns dedicated to completing contracted deep cleans and various ad-hoc tasks. Flexibility for occasional weekend and evening work is required.

Role Requirements:

  • This is a hands-on cleaning position, not an office-based role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • The supervisor must be prepared to cover shifts for direct reports during instances of sickness or absence.
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure is crucial.
  • Physical resilience is necessary to perform tasks that require manual labor.
  • Capability to operate and transport industrial cleaning equipment across various locations is required.
  • The supervisor will be responsible for managing and overseeing the work of two other cleaning staff, both directly and remotely.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills are essential for timely issue resolution.
