Key Responsibilities

As a Geoscience Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging with clients to discuss project milestones and deliverables
  • Participating in client meetings to initiate projects and discuss progress
  • Examining client-provided drawings and project specifications
  • Developing geophysical survey specifications for client tenders
  • Supplying technical support for tenders
  • Assessing incoming geophysical data
  • Analysing project data and generating offshore reports
  • Creating GIS charts and presentations
  • Aiding in the development of GIS projects
  • Composing technical reports
  • Editing and proofreading reports
  • Conducting research into emerging technologies
  • Managing project and database-related spreadsheets
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • GIS experience (ArcMap/ArcPro, QGIS)
  • Exceptional IT skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A full driver's license
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in geoscience
Education and Qualifications

You will need a University Degree or Master's in geophysics or a related discipline.
