Job Title: Head of Accountancy and Governance

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Head of Accountancy and Governance at the Pilkington Family Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the development of the Trust's financial strategy and ensure its alignment with the overall business objectives.
  2. Provide expert advice and guidance on financial matters to the CEO and other senior stakeholders.
  3. Manage and develop the Finance Function, responsible for providing accounting and investment information and financial services.
  4. Work closely with the CEO to plan and resource the Trust's activities.
  5. Service the Investment Committee by preparing, developing, and analyzing strategic and management accounting information from our Investment Managers.
  6. Act as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in finance and governance, with experience in managing financial teams and developing financial strategies. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
