Job Title: Assistant Category Manager, Baby

As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in developing and leading strategic sourcing and purchasing programs that drive value for money and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead strategic sourcing and purchasing programs that align with business objectives
  • Take the commercial lead to contribute significantly to the delivery of allocated procurement projects
  • Identify and work with suppliers to create innovative and robust approaches to getting the best value from our contracts
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation, including internal financial procedures
  • Support the Head of Commercial Procurement to create organizational excellence in procurement and purchasing
Requirements:
  • Relevant and specialist commercial/industry experience in purchasing and supply in a senior management role
  • Experience in the Housing Sector is ideal
  • Robust procurement knowledge, including advanced negotiation skills, knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, and contract law
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
