Job Role

As a Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in care. Your day-to-day role will involve working closely with them to promote their wellbeing, safety, and development. You will assist with daily routines, organize social activities, and provide high levels of supervision and support.

Responsibilities
  • Support, safeguard, and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assist with daily routines, including working in the community and/or educational settings
  • Organize and facilitate social activities
  • Transportation
  • Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
  • Offer high levels of supervision and support
  • Work in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
  • Manage complex behaviors and crisis intervention
  • Contribute to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience working within a child and/or young adult setting
  • All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • Diploma level 3/children's and young people, desirable level 4
