Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Carlisle

Salary: £18.32 Per hour (£39,312) + Overtime Opportunities Available paid at 1.5x, over 6 hours or a Sunday paid at 2x + 31 Days Holiday + Pension + Life Assurance + Product Discount Scheme and Cash Back Schemes + Workwear provided + Course Funded Training Available as well as on the job training + Annual Tool Allowance up to £120 per annum.

Working Hours:

Week 1: Mon - Fri 2pm-10pm

Week 2: Mon - Fri 6am-2pm, Sun 10pm - 6am

Week 3: Mon- Thurs 10 pm - 6am

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Luton Bennett. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, gears, bearings, pipework, and steam systems. You will work closely with our electrical and mechanical engineers to maintain and repair equipment, and ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Split between PPM (Nights Bias) and Reactive Maintenance (Days Bias).
  2. Mechanical work on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, gears, bearings, pipework, and steam systems.
  3. Updating the maintenance system and handing over to the following shift team.
  4. Working as part of a mixed team of electrical and mechanical engineers.
  5. Working on varied production lines, including mill machinery, biomass, and treatment plant.

Minimum Requirements:

You will have previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer within an industrial environment or similar. Any mechanical qualifications will be advantageous.
