Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead practitioner for children requiring assistance and safeguarding
  • Execute legal obligations and adhere to departmental guidelines
  • Conduct evaluations and engage with families to understand their needs
  • Formulate and implement strategies for at-risk children
  • Organize meetings to assess and modify care plans
  • Work collaboratively with keyworkers and interdisciplinary teams
  • Prepare documentation for meetings and legal proceedings

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Recognized qualification in social work
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Current knowledge of relevant legislation and child development principles
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Capability to address inadequate performance and offer constructive feedback
  • Strong report writing and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in IT and fluent in English

Desirable Criteria

  • Post-qualifying certification in Social Work
  • Teaching qualification in Practice Teachers Award
  • Experience in providing training and supervision
