About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and diligent individual with expertise in optical networks, test equipment, and cellular and networking knowledge. The successful candidate will have the ability to conduct thorough testing, produce detailed test documentation, and administer turnkey projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for complex telecommunications issues
  • Conduct thorough testing and produce detailed test documentation and reports
  • Administer and execute turnkey projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skills to stay up-to-date with industry developments

Requirements

  • Expertise in optical networks and related hardware
  • Proficiency with test equipment, including optical power meters, light sources, BERTs, cellular scanners, and multimeters
  • Cellular and networking knowledge, including routing and switching protocols and network synchronization
  • Ability to conduct thorough testing and produce detailed test documentation and reports
  • Project management skills, including administering and executing turnkey projects
  • Experience with remote network management platforms
  • Cisco hardware and configuration experience, ideally with CCNA certification or in the process of obtaining it
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Training abilities, including the ability to train team members and customers
  • Field work flexibility, including willingness to perform GPS and cabinet surveys, telecom equipment installation, commissioning, and fault rectification
  • Relevant qualifications, including telecommunications-related qualifications in theory, installation, testing, commissioning, power, and health & safety
