Chase & Holland is thrilled to collaborate with a reputable and expanding manufacturing organization seeking to enhance their procurement division with a Procurement Specialist.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will partner closely with the Purchasing Manager, concentrating on the strategic sourcing approach for the organization.

This position is crucial for maintaining production and supply continuity, granting you complete autonomy to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:
• Procure goods, materials, components, and services in alignment with specified cost, quality, and delivery objectives
• Ensure a continuous supply of necessary goods and materials, addressing any supply issues that may threaten business operations
• Negotiate contracts, enhance pricing and terms with suppliers, and explore opportunities for cost savings using negotiation and procurement best practices
• Investigate and assess areas for cost reduction
• Evaluate suppliers and conduct performance reviews to ensure compliance with contracts and manage performance improvement initiatives
• Assist in developing innovative procurement processes and implement KPIs to analyze and enhance supplier performance
• Maintain departmental records and documentation for full traceability, resolve invoice discrepancies, and assist with MRP as needed
• Collaborate and engage with stakeholders and suppliers regarding new projects, supplies, and initiatives, advising on the impact of changes on purchasing and production activities
• Working Hours: 37.50 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM, with an early finish on Fridays.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Prior experience with MRP/ERP systems
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong planning and organizational capabilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
