We are seeking dedicated Project Engineers to become part of our dynamic team at Kier Group.

Position Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing both planned and reactive project requirements. Your focus will be on developing effective solutions that prioritize cost efficiency and minimize business risks while adhering to all necessary standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Your daily activities will encompass:
  • Collaborating with the operational project delivery manager to fulfill project requirements.
  • Evaluating solutions and conducting root cause analyses, considering overall life costs and risk mitigation.
  • Crafting solutions that align with corporate governance, technical safety standards, and legal obligations.
  • Ensuring all preparatory work, including design, scheduling, budgeting, and CDM requirements, is completed for seamless construction handover.
  • Adhering to all site Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality protocols to promote safe working conditions.
  • Assisting in the documentation of assets and costs within the relevant corporate systems.

Candidate Profile:
This position is ideal for individuals who possess:
  • An engineering degree or equivalent qualifications, along with APM Project Management (PMQ) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Experience in capital project delivery within the water sector, particularly with directly employed teams.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing relationships with various stakeholders.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Preferably, NEBOSH or NEBOSH Construction certification.
