Job Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Peaks & Dales Recruitment.

About the Role: As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned
  • Monitor and control food costs and inventory
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve high standards of quality and service

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
