Lead Project Management Specialist

We are a prominent entity in the engineering sector, recognized for our innovative design and manufacturing capabilities, employing a diverse workforce across various locations.
Our facilities encompass multiple units, and we are currently in search of an experienced and driven Project Management Specialist to enhance our vibrant team.
This role demands a proficient leader capable of guiding a team of approximately 8 professionals, including Engineers and Administrative staff.
Operating from Monday to Friday, with adjusted hours on Fridays, the position offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000, alongside a profit-sharing scheme distributed biannually, an enhanced pension plan, retail discounts, two paid volunteering days annually, a cycle-to-work initiative, gym membership discounts, vehicle maintenance support, financial advice services, and optional private healthcare plans.
As the Project Management Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
Project Oversight:Manage all Housing Sales order projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely execution, compliance with specifications, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Project Categorization:Classify new projects internally and ensure compliance with established protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Schedule and Progress Oversight:Administer project timelines, progress documentation, client communications, escalations, and management of changes and deviations.
Team Leadership:Direct and oversee internal Project Engineers and Project Support Administrators, including daily task distribution and prioritization.
Project Transition:Collaborate with Sales and Proposals teams on new initiatives to guarantee accurate transitions to the Housing Projects Team.
Inventory Target Management:Establish and meet inventory targets for housing units, sub-assemblies, and components.
ERP System Oversight:Manage ERP system change control, including updates to Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing processes. Conduct project debriefs to capture insights and enhance procedures.
Performance Management and Development:Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues promptly with HR collaboration. Identify and advocate for training and development opportunities.
Absence Management:Oversee sick leave and annual leave in accordance with company policies.
To excel in this role, candidates should ideally possess a degree in an engineering discipline and hold a Project Management qualification, complemented by substantial project management experience.
