We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our Perinatal Mental Health Team. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting mothers with moderate to severe mental health needs, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of their babies are met.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside clinical staff to promote the recovery of mothers' mental health using various interventions to promote attachment to the baby.
  • Assist in meeting the needs of both children and their families by undertaking delegated duties that support and enable family-centered care.
  • Report back to and work under the supervision of qualified practitioners to develop, modify, or implement interventions.
  • Enhance the attachment and bonding process by helping families understand the baby's perspective.

CWPT delivers a wide range of physical, mental health, learning disability, and autism services, serving communities across Coventry and Warwickshire. Our Perinatal Mental Health Team is a national award-winning specialist service, meeting the specific needs of ante and postnatal women.

Person Specification:
  • NNEB BTEC Childhood Studies NVQ Level III Diploma in Childcare and Education.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of child development milestones.
  • Health Needs Assessment and principles of health promotion.
