Job Opportunity: Senior Biomedical Scientist and Quality Lead - Histology

Location: London

Salary: Flexible + Private Medical, Pension, 25 Days Holiday

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Scientist and Quality Lead to join our team in London. As a key member of our histology laboratory, you will be responsible for leading and managing all activities related to histology laboratory operations and quality management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee histology laboratory operations, including specimen processing, slide preparation, and staining.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and processes to monitor and improve histology laboratory performance and compliance.
  • Lead and participate in audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to laboratory staff regarding histology processes and procedures.
  • Train and mentor histology team members on quality management principles and best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze quality indicators and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in the selection, evaluation, and validation of new equipment and technologies.

  • HCPC registration
