Job Description

Concept Care Practice is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team. As a SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young adults with special educational needs in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist children during lessons on a 1:1 basis, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Support children with their activities at break times, promoting social skills and positive behavior.
  • Work alongside teachers and other professionals to ensure that special educational needs are met.
  • Manage complex behaviors and develop strategies to support children's emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with the educational team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of supporting children or young adults in a residential or educational setting.
  • Experience in supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, ADD, Mental Health, and Challenging Behavior.
  • Knowledge of Educational and Behavioral Disorders in Children, Mental Wellbeing in Children, and Safeguarding of Children.
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • NVQ qualification in Children and Young People or equivalent experience.
  • Outgoing, positive attitude, empathy, and passion to make a difference to children's lives.
  • Driving license and access to a car (desirable).
