We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team at Chartwells - Schools. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients and customers. About the Role

This is a part-time position, contracted to 32.5 hours per week, with a 43-week contract per year. You will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing and serving food to our clients and customers. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing menu changes, identifying opportunities to improve our food services, and listening and acting on customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
  • Overseeing and implementing menu changes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
  • Listening and acting on customer feedback to consistently improve our food services
  • Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
  • Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
  • Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
  • Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations
Requirements

We are looking for a Chef who is passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service. You will need to hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, have experience supervising a team, and have experience in a similar Chef role. You will also need to hold a Food Hygiene certificate and have a flexible approach to working.
