Job Overview

As a Senior Quality Assurance Lead at Digitas UK, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest quality standards for our innovative products. Your leadership will guide a dedicated team of QA professionals, ensuring that best practices and methodologies are seamlessly integrated into our development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and direction to a team of QA testers and engineers, fostering an environment of excellence in quality assurance practices.
  • Demonstrate hands-on testing expertise across various layers, including UI, APIs, and backend systems.
  • Conduct thorough accessibility testing in accordance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) version 2.2, offering guidance on best practices.
  • Design and execute comprehensive End-to-End and Visual automated regression tests utilizing tools such as Playwright, Percy, Applitools Eyes, Chromatic, and Cypress.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and project managers, to embed quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work with management to define and track quality metrics, providing insights on test coverage and overall project quality.
  • Coordinate with developers to identify and resolve issues during testing, balancing pragmatism with quality standards.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies, proactively suggesting improvements to enhance compliance.
  • Effectively communicate with both onshore and offshore teams, ensuring clarity in project updates and processes.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a QA role, with a solid foundation in software testing methodologies.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of QA professionals.
  • Strong understanding of web design and development technologies.
  • Proficiency in automated regression testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress.
  • Experience with visual regression testing tools like Percy, Applitools Eyes, or Chromatic.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing methodologies and a strong grasp of WCAG standards.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Bitbucket pipelines.
  • Familiarity with performance testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in security testing techniques and tools.
  • Background in web development projects based on MACH principles.
