About the RoleAs an Adult Psychiatry Middle Grade Doctor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Your expertise will be essential in transforming lives and improving mental health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct new referral assessments, deliver therapy, and refer patients to psychology colleagues for relevant interventions.
- Formulate care and treatment plans, prescribe treatment, and provide guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
- Communicate with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team on shared patient decision making.
- Work in and lead multidisciplinary teams, assessing and prioritizing patient/client requirements, and delegating effectively to others.
- Recognize, review, and report patient condition changes to the patient and multidisciplinary team.
- Perform basic administrative and clerical tasks, such as keeping records of test results, writing prescriptions, and monitoring treatment plans.
- Teach and train junior doctors, medical students, and other multidisciplinary team members.
- MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or equivalent.
- 6 months recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
