**Project Manager - BESS (Battery Energy Storage System)**
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of BESS projects for our clients in Wales. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Technical Oversight: Coordinate the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of BESS systems, working closely with engineering teams to ensure technical specifications meet project requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary to ensure project success.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local authorities, facilitating clear and effective communication between all project stakeholders.
- Financial Management: Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost control measures are in place, and prepare regular financial and progress reports for senior management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations, collaborating with environmental and safety teams to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the energy sector, preferably with a focus on BESS or renewable energy projects.
- Skills: Strong understanding of BESS technology and renewable energy systems, excellent project management skills, including risk management, scheduling, and budget control, strong leadership and team management abilities, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
