We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team at M&D Care. As a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Challenging Behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate interventions for individuals presenting with Challenging Behaviours.
- Develop and deliver Positive Behaviour Support training to staff and individuals.
- Work as part of a peripatetic team providing consultation to 'challenging behaviour' services.
- Reduce the use of restrictive practices and promote person-centered approaches.
- Contribute to the person-centered review process and use a range of person-centered planning tools.
- Work collaboratively with staff and individuals to achieve outcomes and improve independence.
- Education to a related degree level or equivalent (QCF5).
- PBS level 4 (BTEC) qualification.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and encourage staff through change management.
- Related experience of working within challenging behaviour services.
- Self-directed and driven to excellence.
- Minimum of 18 months experience of supporting individuals with complex needs, particularly relating to ASD, learning disabilities, and/or mental health.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work on own initiative and prioritize tasks effectively.
- PBS level 4 (BTEC) trainer qualification.
- Experience of undertaking incident debriefs and functional analysis of behaviours.
- Training experience and/or qualifications in training.
