Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our client's workshop in Retford. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, including RCVs, Bin Lorries, Diesel and EV vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles
  • Conduct MOT preparation and scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
  • Carry out 6 (or 8) weekly inspections and correct running defects
  • Assist with chassis and fabrication work, hydraulics and pneumatics, and electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
  • Work in a positive and vibrant working environment where your efforts will be rewarded

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent
  • Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification desirable
  • HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence an advantage
