Event Technician

proAV Limited is seeking an experienced Event and Conference Technician to join our Glasgow team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical onsite support in event spaces, conference rooms, and meeting rooms. You will have exposure to a wide range of technologies, including audio visual and video conference systems.
Key Responsibilities- Setup and operation of integrated events spaces, including high-profile auditorium-based presentations and town halls.
- Proficient in audio, video, and lighting equipment, both digital and analogue.
- Video conference and audio conference setup and support, including software and hardware platforms such as Zoom, Cisco, and Polycom systems.
- Manage all aspects of video calls, from initial booking to monitoring and completion, including scheduling and system testing.
- Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required.
- Collaborate with the Breakfix team to locate faults and provide resolutions, including fixing, replacing, or upgrading hardware.
- Perform daily checks on all equipment in the building and provide on-going preventative maintenance.
- Provide audio visual support to other areas of the business, including setting up PA systems and assisting with presentations in meeting rooms.
- Work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to liaise with senior executives and provide excellent customer service.
- Be flexible and able to work onsite shifts, including out-of-hours events.
- Liaise with the help desk and operations team to arrange backup support when required.
- Administer tasks using Microsoft Office applications, Zoom back-end bespoke ticketing systems, and room booking software.
- Attend other sites as required and support the Livestreaming team as needed.
- Proactively train and support end-users as required.
- Fully competent with all installed and portable technologies.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work a rotational shift basis as required.
