Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RNLD to join the Acute Hospital Liaison Nurse Team, providing a nurse-led, innovative, and dynamic service to children and adults with a learning disability accessing acute hospital services. The key purpose of the post is to facilitate and enable equity of access to secondary healthcare services through direct patient work, strategic development, and building capability across teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and enable equity of access to secondary healthcare services for children and adults with a learning disability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Build capability and capacity across teams to support the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination.
Working Environment

The post will be Lothian-wide, working across key hospital sites at St John's, Western General Hospital, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.
