Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Chelmsford / Wickford area

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our team in Chelmsford / Wickford. As a key member of our Service Operations group, you will be responsible for planning the pickup, drop-offs, and servicing of hired equipment for a fleet of over 60 vehicles across multiple depots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and optimize transport routes to ensure efficient delivery and collection of equipment
  • Allocate services, deliveries, and collections using planning software tools
  • Communicate with customer service teams and depot managers to resolve queries and issues
  • Work collaboratively with a team of Transport Planners to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transport planning or a related field
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
