The Role:

We are seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer (mechanical biased) to join our successful manufacturing company in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will provide a multi-skilled maintenance service across the site, covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building fabrication.

  • Provide reactive and proactive maintenance services to all equipment, including modifications and installations, ensuring high-quality work and optimal performance.
  • Offer technical support and input to projects, continuously improving equipment efficiencies and reducing costs.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant, optimizing reliability and maintainability.
  • Complete manual handling tasks as required and make effective use of tools and equipment provided.
The Candidate:

We are looking for an experienced candidate with a background in planned preventative and reactive maintenance regimes for heavy-duty machinery. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of safe working practices on electrical/mechanical building services, experience in fault finding, resolving issues, servicing, and maintaining general building fabric work.

  • Positive team player with the ability to work alone and use own initiative.
  • Confident, flexible approach to work, with the ability to respond to various situations.
  • PLC programming experience desirable but not essential.
