We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our Outpatient Administration team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and training administration staff, ensuring the effective administration of patient bookings, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train administration staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Ensure patient bookings are administered efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient attendance and waiting times.
- Provide day-to-day management of administration staff, including monitoring attendance and performance.
- Respond to telephone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner.
- Prepare documentation to support the delivery of outpatient clinics.
- Obtain necessary information for patients attending clinics and record changes onto the Patient Administration System.
- Provide cover and reception clinics as allocated.
- Action post and general correspondence on a daily basis.
- Maintain departmental stationary stock levels.
- GCSE (or equivalent) English Language and Mathematics grade C or above.
- Good basic standard of education demonstrating excellent communication skills and numeracy.
- A willingness to undergo training to carry out the job.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to further computer skills.
- Supervisory certificate.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
- A good team player, with the ability to work flexibly in a diverse and demanding environment.
- Knowledge, experience, and ability to use the Trust's Patient Administration system.
- Experience at supervisory/senior level in a healthcare environment.
- Well-developed knowledge and experience of using a variety of IT applications in a Windows-based environment.
- Experience in working in a customer-focused environment.
