Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Compliance Advisor

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Birmingham

Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience

Venn Group is seeking a skilled Gas Compliance Officer to join our team and work with a Housing Association based in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with colleagues, suppliers, and contractors to resolve technical queries and those related to planning and programming activities.
  2. Support the Gas Safety Manager in prioritizing, organizing, and monitoring the servicing, repair, installation, and maintenance programs focused on maintaining statutory gas compliance.
  3. Raise orders for Gas inspectors and 3rd-party auditors, following up on orders for reactive, planned, and remedial works.
  4. Receive gas safety documentation, including LGSRS, heating referrals, and surveys, and use technical knowledge and experience to convert written recommendations into actions.
  5. Raise tasks on the ActiveH system for management actions.
  6. Follow up on recommended remedial actions, using own technical knowledge.
  7. Coordinate and contribute to responses to queries from stakeholders, relating to actions arising from gas safety work.
  8. Revising actions/tasks/timescales and planning gas inspector workload as appropriate.

Requirements:

  1. Hold ACS qualifications and CCN1.
